HCDE Professor Kate Starbird, PhD students Ahmer Arif and Conrad Nied, and senior Leo Stewart sat down with KIRO 7 news to discuss their latest research on the online spread of fake news, or "alternative narratives." Starbird warns that the spread of misinformation creates the danger of becoming a more disinformed and divided society.
