Reporting and Training

The below resources have been compiled by the HCDE DEI committee. HCDE students, faculty, and staff can reach out to members of the DEI committee with questions.

Reporting

Any UW student, faculty, or staff, sharing a concern related to discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics, sexual misconduct, and/or retaliation are reportable and UW employees are obligated to file a report with the Civil Rights Compliance Office.

Voicing Concerns

HCDE students, faculty, and staff are always welcome and encouraged to bring forward concerns or questions within HCDE department. For suggestions of whom to contact first, view HCDE's Voicing Concerns page.

EPIC: Graduate Student/Academic Student Employee/Postdoctoral Scholars Training

This training is tailored to the unique roles of academic student employees (ASE’s) and postdoctoral scholars at the UW. It overviews how individuals can create prevention-focused culture change in academia, sexual harassment and discrimination and its impacts, individual and community skill-building, and supporting those who experience harassment.
