Note the quarterly tuition and fees total estimates do not include the cost for books and other course materials. Tuition rates may experience modest changes yearly and this estimate is provided solely for planning purposes. The cost of tuition per credit and other fees is identical regardless of whether a student is a Washington resident or an out-of-state/international student.
Third-party payments
Students must pay fees when registering. Fees cannot be billed, except to third-party payers within the United States. For many working professionals, an employer functions as a third-party payer. Students who have a third-party payer must include a purchase order or letter of authorization to bill with the registration form. Financial aid
The UCD Certificate is a part-time program and not eligible for UW financial aid.
Apply credits toward a HCDE Master's degree
By completing the UCD certificate program, students can earn up to 12 graduate credits toward degree requirements should you later be accepted into the Master of Science in Human Centered Design & Engineering. To use these credits, you must obtain graduate nonmatriculated status before you register for the first course of the certificate program.
