Tuition deadlines

  • Student fees are paid to UW Student Fiscal Services
  • Tuition payments are made to UW Continuum College (PCE)

For payment instructions and options, visit Payment Procedures for Fee-Based Degree Students.

Tuition exemption unavailable

The Graduate Certificate in Human Centered AI is a self-sustaining program and is not supported by state funding. As such, it does not participate in the University of Washington’s Tuition Exemption program for state employees.

Financial aid

The HCAI program does not offer scholarships or direct tuition support. However, some students may qualify for federal student loans if they file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

For more information about financial aid eligibility and resources, visit the UW Office of Student Financial Aid.

Stackable credits

Students may complete the certificate on its own or combine it with another College of Engineering certificate to create a stacked Master of Engineering in Multidisciplinary Engineering.
