Certificate Completion

Students earn the Graduate Certificate in User Centered Design (UCD) upon successful completion of six courses in the program: one course in autumn , two in winter, and two in spring.

Most students complete the certificate within three quarters. In the event students do not complete necessary coursework within four quarters, they can complete the program as a single course enrollee on a space available basis. To continue in the program and earn the certificate, participants are required to earn a grade of 2.7 or higher in each course, and to maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 (B or better). Students should contact their Graduate Program Advisor if they are unable to complete the program as scheduled.

Requesting the Certificate

In order to request the certificate, students must schedule a meeting with your advisor, Alex Llapitan to submit the certificate request via the Graduate School during your final quarter. Unlike Master’s students, certificate students cannot request the certificate on their own.
