Directed Research in Human Centered Design & Engineering

In the University of Washington's department of Human Centered Design & Engineering, students and faculty collaborate in Directed Research Groups to address the latest topics in human-centered research and design.

Led by individual faculty members or doctoral students, Directed Research Groups review relevant literature, pose research questions, and design and conduct user studies. Research findings are often prepared in papers either for submission to a professional journal or for presentation at a professional conference.

The structure and content of Directed Research Groups varies widely based on subject matter. Learn about currently offered Directed Research Groups, here.
