Lisa Yamasaki, Office Manager in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE), will be leaving the department at the end of July in order to devote full-time attention to her family. Please join us in wishing her the best for her next adventure!
Yamasaki has been with HCDE for about 2 years and in that time has been an invaluable team member, helping to launch and solidify HCDE's Corporate Affiliates Program, managing the daily front office operations, overseeing space assignments, and coordinating facilities work. She also used her expertise in event coordination to bring HCDE events like Corporate Affiliates Day to a new level. In addition to her project management work, Yamasaki also hired, trained, and supervised HCDE's student assistants.
HCDE Administrator DJ Miller commented on Yamasaki's departure, saying, "Lisa brought a great combination of both professionalism and fun to the office. She excelled in all her endeavors and really helped shape the front office into a smooth running operation. Lisa's departure is a true loss for HCDE."
