Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) Professor Beth Kolko won the Seattle Awesome Foundation's sixth grant for her Hackademia lab. The Awesome Foundation is an alternative philanthropy organization that awards $1000 grant every month, no strings attached, to whatever proposal the trustees deem most awesome.

The Foundation is also hosting a free party on Thursday, April 12, at Sole Repair in Capitol Hill to celebrate all of the grants awarded in Seattle (and you're invited!).
