The 2011 Scholar-Donor Recognition Luncheon was held on Wednesday, November 16, to honor the generous donors who fund tuition and the students they support. The luncheon was an opportunity for donors to connect with scholarship recipients in the College of Engineering.
Four undergraduate students in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) were in attendance, including Anna DelaMerced, Anh-Thu Voba, Thuy Duong, and Amado Robancho. DelaMerced and Voba are both Boeing Scholars, and Duong and Robancho are both Sakson Scholars. Duong is also an NSF-funded College of Engineering STEM Scholar. Not in attendance was HCDE student Rachel Reynard, who is a Graves Scholar.
HCDE Academic Advisor Stephanie White commented on the luncheon: "The Scholar-Donor Recognition Luncheon was a wonderful opportunity to honor both donors and students for their involvement in the College of Engineering. It was nice to see students meet their scholarship donors and other students in the College of Engineering."
