Microsoft and HCDE are working on a new program that may take place in Summer 2022. As an alternative to the Microsoft Mentoring program, HCDE is creating a mentoring pod program for Autumn 2021 that will connect one mentor with four students for monthly virtual meetings. Topics can include portfolios, interviewing, networking, and general Q&A. Details for students will be announced at the beginning of October 2021. Mentors will include HCDE alumni and industry experts from Microsoft and other industries.
The UW’s Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) and the Microsoft Cloud + AI Studios team piloted a year-long mentorship program that matched students with Microsoft mentors for one-on-one career coaching. Students gain real-world perspective and career guidance from working professionals in user research, UX design, content strategy, and product management. Mentors add enhanced value to students as they begin their own professional careers.Questions?
