Dear friends of Human Centered Design & Engineering,

Welcome to 2016! All of us in Human Centered Design & Engineering are excited to dig in and see what the new year brings.

With the start of the new quarter, we have introduced a new HCDE website. The University made a recent rebranding effort which has been trickling throughout all of the campus units. The updated HCDE website has a new style, new content, and a little reorganization. We hope you will find it useful. Please send any comments or suggestions our way at hcdeweb@uw.edu.

We invite all members of our community to join us for our UX Speaker series, happening every Friday this quarter. That series features speakers from a wide range of UX practices who will share their insights and experiences in the field. If you can't make one of the talks in person, feel free to watch videos of the talks on our website at hcde.uw.edu/ux.

Read on to learn more about upcoming opportunities and find a recap of the last quarter's highlights.
