Empowering makers to design and prototype physical-digital experiences
Students: Gabi Duncombe, Savannah Ostrowski, Tanya Wang, Kelly Graham
While human-centered and user experience design has become synonymous with digital, screen-based design, we believe there is significant opportunity in the physical computing space to blend both physical and digital components. The skills needed to create physical computing experiences are often viewed as a separate skill set from mainstream digital product design and are infrequently incorporated into design ideation or digital product development. Additionally, the barrier to entry for aspiring makers feels high - and it can be hard to figure out where to get started. PhysiDig is a web-based learning platform that empowers makers to design and prototype physical-digital experiences.
