Why re:Design?
In winter 2009, PhD student Matt Eliot won the contest to rename posTComm. The team asked students, faculty, and staff to submit ideas for a new name. After reviewing the submissions, the field was narrowed down and everyone in the department was asked to vote for their favorite. Of the 71 votes, 35 percent went to re:Design—more than double the number of votes for the runner up, Interface.
