HCDE students listen to guest speaker Andy South.The department is fortunate to have a diverse group of interesting and talented people involved with our programs. Our roughly 25 faculty, adjunct faculty, and affiliate faculty represent a broad spectrum of research specialties and publication areas, and the department also employs nearly 20 experienced and well-qualified instructors, many from industry, who teach in our undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.

Our staff of 8 work closely with other departments and units on the UW campus to solve problems and help students and faculty achieve their goals.
