Reserving LUTE: Student Info

Any student enrolled in at least one class at UW can use LUTE for student projects and pilot studies. Reservation of LUTE facilities and equipment for student usage is paid for by the University of Washington Student Technology Fee. Students enrolled in autumn quarter's TC 517, Usability Testing, are given priority in November and early December to run their studies.
Students who are performing unfunded research (student projects, class projects, and pilot studies) need to follow these procedures to reserve the LUTE or check out equipment:
  1. Fill out the Request for Reserving LUTE form and email the completed form to lutelab@u.washington.eduThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please make sure to indicate your preferred times for reserving LUTE in the form and you in your email.
  2. If you have not used LUTE before, the LUTE RA will contact you to set up a tutorial session and arrange for you to receive a door code.
  3. The LUTE RA will schedule your project in the LUTE calendar. You will receive an email confirming your reservation or asking for additional availability times.
  4. If you need to take equipment out of the lab, you will need to fill out an Equipment Check-out Form.
Please report any problems with the equipment to lutelab@u.washington.edu.
