Tuition and Fees

Note: The evening MS-HCDE program is a self-sustaining program (i.e., it is not state-supported), and it therefore does not participate in the university’s tuition exemption program.

Application to the evening MS-HCDE program includes a one-time fee of $50. Once students are accepted into the program, we anticipate that their tuition will cost approximately $508 per credit. Students who attend full time will take, on average, eight credits per quarter, totaling approximately $4064 per quarter, including estimated fees. The cost breakdown is shown here:

$4064 Tuition for eight credits ($475/credit)
$91 Quarterly student activities fee (student insurance, IMA [intramural sports activities] privileges)
$37 Quarterly student technology fee for eight credits
$30 Registration fee
$4222 Total per quarter

The quarterly tuition of $4064 does not include the cost for books and other course materials, nor does it include campus parking. The option to purchase an evening parking permit, which costs $51 per quarter, is included each quarter with the course registration forms

The cost of tuition and other fees are the same whether you are a matriculated student, graduate non-matriculated (GNM) student (see information on Single Course Enrollment), or non-matriculated student.

Third-party payments

Students must pay fees when registering. Fees cannot be billed, except for third-party payers; for many working professionals, their employers function as third-party payers. Tuition can be billed only to third-party payers within the United States. Students who have a third-party payer must include a purchase order or letter of authorization to bill with the registration form.
