Internship Prerequisites

To qualify for an internship, you must have a 3.0 GPA in required HCDE courses. Additionally, internship applicants should have completed, at the minimum, HCDE 400, HCDE 402, and HCDE 411 (technical writing, technical editing, and visual media in HCDE) before applying.

It is also beneficial to have completed HCDE electives appropriate to the kind of experience you would like prior to applying for an internship. For example, if you want an internship in the computer industry, it would be helpful to have taken HCDE 407 (Software User Assistance).

Internships are a graduation requirement for HCDE majors.
